You already know 학교에 가요 (go to school). Add two useful places: 역 (station) and 도서관 (library). 어디 asks where; 어떻게 asks how. 도서관에 어떻게 가요? asks how to get to the library, rather than only asking where it is.
I go to the station.
How do I get to the library?
I walk there. / Go there on foot, in context.
Examples in this unit are text-based. No pronunciation recording or automatic speaking score is used.
Useful basics on this page
Where is the school?
I go to school.
Attach 에 to the destination: 역에, 도서관에. 걸어가요 comes from 걸어가다 (go on foot). In a route answer, 걸어가요 can suggest walking; it is not the explicit request form 가세요 taught later. These are fictional language examples, not directions to a real place.
