Read this fictional exchange. A learner asks how to get to the library. The reply suggests the subway, and says the library is to the left of the station. This is a separate scenario, not an extra route added to the earlier practice map.
How do I get to the library?
Go by subway, please.
The library is on the left side of the station.
On the left side of the station? Yes.
Examples in this unit are text-based. No pronunciation recording or automatic speaking score is used.
Useful basics on this page
I go to the station.
Go to the left, please.
역 왼쪽에 gives a location relative to the station; 왼쪽으로 gives a direction of movement. Keep a space in 역 왼쪽에 and attach 에 to 왼쪽. Real directions need a clear shared viewpoint; the dialogue practises understanding this stated relationship, not inferring which exit to use. A short confirming question can help check what you heard.
