얼마예요? Read a small price
Ask a price and read a small set of prices in won.
Sino-Korean numbers are used for prices: 일 1, 이 2, 삼 3, 사 4, 오 5, 육 6, 칠 7, 팔 8, 구 9, 십 10, 백 100, 천 1,000. 원 is the currency unit won.
How much is this?
It is 1,000 won.
It is 2,000 won.
It is 3,500 won.
Examples in this unit are text-based. No pronunciation recording or automatic speaking score is used.
For 100 and 1,000, normally say 백 and 천, not 일백 and 일천 in this basic price reading. 3,500 is 삼천 + 오백. Leave a space before 원 in these written readings. These are fictional practice prices, not current market prices.
