세 시 삼십 분: tell clock time
Read a small set of hour-and-minute combinations.
Clock hours normally use native Korean numbers with 시; minutes use Sino-Korean numbers with 분. For this practice use 한 시 (1), 두 시 (2), 세 시 (3), 네 시 (4), and 십 분 (10), 이십 분 (20), 삼십 분 (30).
What time is it now?
It is three o’clock.
It is 3:30.
It is 2:10.
Examples in this unit are text-based. No pronunciation recording or automatic speaking score is used.
지금 means now; 몇 asks how many/which number in this question. 세 시 삼십 분 mixes the two number systems. Do not read the hour as 삼 시 in this ordinary clock expression. Morning/evening is unspecified unless context or 오전/오후 supplies it.
Try it yourself
Choose three o’clock.
Choose thirty minutes.
두 시 십 분 means…
Build “It is 3:30.”
…
RETRIEVE BEFORE YOU REVEAL
Say it in your own time.
Ask the time and give 2:10 as an imagined answer.
지금 몇 시예요? 두 시 십 분이에요.
This is your own speaking check; pronunciation is not recorded or graded.
Resolve each question and make a recall self-check to save completion. Unit menus remain available for browsing.
