Names in context · LESSON 2 / 4
Say your name
Introduce yourself with a short name phrase.
Imagine meeting two fictional learners, Yuna and Junho. In a clear introduction, the name alone with a polite ending can be enough: “I’m Yuna.”

I’m Yuna.
I’m Junho.
유나 and 준호 both end in a vowel, so these examples use 예요. For now, learn the whole phrase. In the next lesson, compare names and other nouns with and without a final consonant. The speaker is understood from the introduction; 예요 does not itself mean “I”.
Try it yourself

RETRIEVE BEFORE YOU REVEAL

Without looking: introduce yourself as Yuna, then as Junho.
